Bait bait - or what to do with jazz?
Latin name - Leuciscus idus
Polish record - Poland has two record holders in catching Jazi. The first is Zbigniew Zbiegeń, who caught 82 cm long weirs in 1973, and the second was Mirosław Królikowski, who caught 78 cm. Both fish weighed 5.1 kg.
Jazia legends - We must admit that the record-breaking fish caught in Poland is one of the largest officially caught fish in the world. However, there are many legends that much larger specimens have been caught. In Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia there is a large population of Jazia and rumors of ides weighing up to 8 kg, and in some cases even 10 kg. However, it is worth recalling that the largest, officially caught ide, weighed 5.5 kg and was caught in Latvia. The orphan has its "golden type" or the golden orphan. It is a very popular fish in commercial fishing throughout Europe. Interestingly, the popularity of the golden orfa does not translate into the popularity of the jazz itself, and yet it is just as beautiful as its "golden variety."
The ide is a highly sought after fish in Polish fisheries. It is most common in rivers and there are many reservoirs in which weirs can also be found.
The ide has similar eating habits to the chub, so it is no wonder that they are caught using bottom, float and spin methods.
These fish very often respond to large lures, such as peas, worms or even leeches, but to encourage them to feed and lead to the fishery, use a stow bait.
Bait for jazz - what and how?
Groundbait for jazz has a set of ingredients that create an aroma and flavor base that encourages ides to feed intensively. It can be combined with lures to properly separate larger fish than predatory fish in general.
The sphere is a relatively large fish given the condition of our waters, and so it should be expected to eat large amounts of food easily.
If we find water rich in ides, we should provide them with sufficiently large quantities of ides during their feeding. Once you manage to catch the first fish, it is worth observing what is in their throat. This often gives us answers to questions about what the ego is feeding on at the moment.
If, after we remove the fish from the water, we see the remnants of the mixture of ground feed for weir and the bait we are using, it will be clear that we need to continue to entice the fishery to keep the feed in the fishery for as long as possible. Such tactics often produce great results. Systematic use of bait baits can produce spectacular results, although of course the skill of the angler will also be a key factor.
Fishing for ides is a source of pleasure for many anglers and it is worth buying a good quality ground bait to enjoy these wonderful fish on a regular basis.
